When will my baby sleep through the night?

Your baby will never sleep through the night. Yeah, that’s right, I said it. And neither will you, for that matter!
In fact, everyone is expected to wake up multiple times during the night and this is not due to stress, caffeine, lack of exercise or any other factor that can contribute to a bad night’s sleep; it is because of the nature of the human sleep cycle.
We’re all familiar with the various stages of sleep and can tell the difference between waking from light sleep or deep sleep, yet very few of us know about the biology of sleep and our sleep cycle.
The “PERFECT” Nursery for your baby

One of the first things that come to our minds when we first know we are pregnant is how will we create the cute, cozy and most “PERFECT” nursery for our coming baby! What theme will we chose, what color to paint the walls and which teddy bears and toys would my baby enjoy.
I am sure all moms dream about this and spend days if not months searching and preparing that perfect nursery… And guess what, this is perfectly normal, and moreover it is a natural instinct known as “NESTING”. Yes, this is real! Mayo Clinic asserts that the nesting instinct is an overwhelming desire to get your home and yourself ready for your new baby. And this can begin at any time during pregnancy.
How to Handle a Light Sleeper

My baby is a light sleeper! She goes from fast asleep to wide awake the second I put her into her crib! Or she wakes up every time I even breath past her bedroom door!!
This is one of the MOST common complaints I hear from parents. They feel their babies are just too easy to wake up, and when they do, it’s exceedingly hard to get them back to sleep-if ever!
Keeping Your Child’s Sleep on Track During Travel and the Holidays

With all the family gatherings, celebrations and travel happening during the Holidays; many parents fear that their baby’s sleep will regress. Especially parents who have recently gotten their babies sleeping on a schedule worry that they will not be able to maintain their child’s sleep habits….
And I can assure you, all those fears are well-founded. Amidst the excitement, travel, attention from all family members then travel back again, the holiday season is the single easiest way to throw all of your hard work on healthy sleep schedules and routines out with the wrapping paper and toy boxes…
Is Sleep as Important as Diet?

I’m sure you can guess what my answer is to this question! Well I am after all a pediatric sleep consultant. I tend to put a high priority on sleep and I am justifiably passionate about its benefits for babies and their parents.
But is my passion for sleep clouding my view on this matter, or is there evidence to support my position? I am SO sure many of you might ask this question
Why Should I Hire a Sleep Consultant?

Both parents usually have a lot to learn after bringing a new baby home! but moms bear the most weigh when it comes to new-born duties. Dealing with Lack of sleep on top of their healing body and crazy hormones can easily get them rolling down the hill to exhaustion and overwhelm.
In addition; Some moms must return to their jobs shortly after having a baby! So, working full time, pumping 5 times and functioning on couple of hours of sleep can easily bring them to the Edge! This however should not be the only Scenario.
